Deadlock Map Movement: Farm on the Way to the Next Play

Moving across the map should collect value or create pressure. Link lanes, camps, and objectives into a route instead of travelling through empty space.

Why this matters

Efficient movement gives each second more than one purpose. The best route reaches the play on time while collecting safe resources and improving lane pressure.

Three decisions to clean up

Start from the deadline

Work backward from the fight or objective timing. Farm only what fits before the moment your team needs your position.

Prefer connected resources

Choose farm that lies along the route rather than turning away for one extra camp. Detours often cost the entire reason you started moving.

Leave the map healthier

Push a safe wave or protect a threatened lane when the timing allows. Movement that ignores every lane can win one skirmish and lose the wider map.

Use it in your next session

    • Choose one planned rotation after lane.
    • Mark the resources collected on the route.
    • Check whether you still arrived before the action began.

Review the pattern

Review late arrivals and draw the route backward. Remove the lowest-value detour first instead of trying to move mechanically faster.

Do not judge the habit by one match result. Look for cleaner decisions across several repeated situations, then make the cue slightly more demanding once it becomes automatic.
