Why this matters
Teamfights become unreadable when you react to every effect on screen. A role-based plan narrows the information to what changes your next action.
Three decisions to clean up
Name your first job
Engage, protect, control, or deal damage are different starting positions. Stand where your first useful action can happen without crossing the whole fight.
Track one stopping threat
Choose the enemy control or burst tool most likely to remove you. Its use can be the cue to step forward rather than a reason to wait forever.
Keep a second position
Know where you move after the first cooldown cycle. Staying in the opening position makes you predictable and often exposed.
Use it in your next session
- Choose your role before the next objective fight.
- Name one enemy cooldown that changes your entry.
- Review your position at first contact and five seconds later.
Review the pattern
Ignore final damage for one review. Check whether you completed your role before dying or retreating, and whether a safer starting angle existed.
Do not judge the habit by one match result. Look for cleaner decisions across several repeated situations, then make the cue slightly more demanding once it becomes automatic.
