How to Improve Your Aim in Valorant Ranked (Without Burnout)

Aim trainers help — but ranked aim is crosshair placement, peek discipline, and calm first shots. This routine builds all three in under 20 minutes a day.

Ranked aim is not Kovaak's score

In Valorant, most kills are decided before you click — crosshair placement, peek angle, and whether you wide-swing into a held line.

15-minute daily routine

    • 5 min deathmatch — crosshair at head height only; no running gunfights
    • 5 min range — vandal first-bullet taps, then short spray transfer (3 bullets)
    • 5 min VOD — one death replay; ask "was aim wrong or was peek wrong?"

Crosshair placement drill

Walk common paths on each map in custom game with knife out. Your crosshair should sit where a head would appear — not floor, not sky.

When aim trainers help

Use Aim Lab or Kovaak's for flick and tracking — not as a substitute for Valorant peek discipline.

Compound with coaching

UpForge reports flag untraded deaths and first-blood losses — often aim-adjacent macro mistakes. Fix the peek; aim follows.
