Why this matters
Teamfight clarity comes from role and timing. Damage, engage, protection, and disruption require different positions even when every player sees the same target.
Three decisions to clean up
Name the first contribution
Decide whether you start, follow, protect, zone, or deal sustained damage. Your opening position should make that action available.
Track the cooldown that stops you
Identify the control or burst tool that changes your entry. Waiting for one key cooldown is different from waiting without a plan.
Reposition after the first cycle
The safe angle changes once mobility and control are used. Move with the fight instead of remaining where the engage began.
Use it in your next session
- State your role before the objective fight.
- Name one enemy cooldown to track.
- Review your position at engage and after the first ability cycle.
Review the pattern
Ignore total damage for this review. Check whether your first useful action happened on time and whether your position allowed a second one.
Do not judge the habit by one match result. Look for cleaner decisions across several repeated situations, then make the cue slightly more demanding once it becomes automatic.
