Lineups are optional; timing is mandatory

Most ranked players lose rounds from when they used utility, not where they threw it.

Smokes

  • Smoke before the peek, not after your duelist is dead
  • One smoke = one crossing — do not waste two on the same angle
  • Post-plant: smoke the most common retake path, not decorative site corners

Flashes

  • Flash for teammates — blind your entry, not the wall behind them
  • Pop flash vs full flash: know which your duelist prefers
  • Re-flash after first contact if execute is still live

Mollies

  • Deny defuse on post-plant — highest ROI molly in ranked
  • Clear common corners on execute (default, back site)
  • Do not molly after you have already lost the site

Review utility in VODs

Coaching reports often flag rounds where util was held too long or thrown with no follow-up. One reviewed execute teaches more than ten lineup videos.
