Why this matters
Retakes are short executes against known territory. The remaining CTs need a shared start time and enough information to attack one defender position at a time.
Three decisions to clean up
Wait for the useful teammate
A few seconds of regrouping can create a trade pair and another route. Arriving first is not valuable if it starts a solo fight.
Remove one anchor position
Use utility to force a common post-plant angle or block its support. The goal is to simplify the crossfire before crossing the site boundary.
Assign the defuse pressure
Decide who can tap or stick and who protects. Everyone staring at the bomb gives the final defender the same target.
Use it in your next session
- Call save or retake early.
- Choose the two entry routes before moving.
- Use the first grenade to isolate a post-plant position.
Review the pattern
Count how many players cross into site before the second teammate can fight. Reduce staggered contact before analysing aim or clutch decisions.
Do not judge the habit by one match result. Look for cleaner decisions across several repeated situations, then make the cue slightly more demanding once it becomes automatic.
