Patch 13.09: Hush Is Here

Patch 13.09 went live on 27 October 2026, and it is built around Hush: a telekinetic Duelist from Guangdong, China. Riot revealed her during Valorant Champions on 18 October. She is the ninth Duelist in the roster.

The patch also buffs the Warden, trims Clove's movement speed bonus and introduces two new buff terms: Haste and Snapshot. Here is what changes for your ranked games.

RISE AND FALL: Riot's official Hush agent trailer

Hush — Full Ability Kit

Most of Hush's kit can be thrown or steered. She does not rely on a dash or a teleport to take space. Instead, she moves enemies, removes their sight lines and launches herself towards an anchor.

AbilityWhat it does
Telekinesis (Passive)Picks up weapons, interacts with switches and (on attack) picks up the Spike from further away
DisplacementThrowable or steerable device. When it explodes, it pulls every player towards its centre. Anyone who hits a wall or another player is concussed. Resets every two kills
FlashbulbThrowable or steerable flash. Explodes on impact with a surface or after a delay, blinding players who are looking at it
FlowPlaces an anchor instantly. If Hush is airborne, she briefly levitates and then flies towards the anchor after a delay
Suspension (Ultimate)Prepared instantly and steered with your crosshair. Detonating it levitates every player in the area

Riot's notes do not list costs, charges or ultimate points yet. We will update this post when those numbers are confirmed.

How Hush takes space

Watch her kit in a live match first. It is much easier to picture the pulls and lifts once you have seen them:

  • Displacement is both setup and punishment. Pulling defenders out of tight corners onto open ground forces them into the fight on your terms. If you pull them into walls or each other, the concussion keeps them there. Because it resets every two kills, a good entry can let you use it again in the same round.
  • Flashbulb rewards timing. It can explode on contact or on a delay, so you can bounce it around a corner or hold it for the moment you swing. Communicate with your team before using it. Your own players can be blinded if they are looking at it.
  • Flow is your escape route, so use it with intent. Flow only launches you when you're airborne, and only after a delay. Plan the jump before you take the fight. If you use it mid-duel without a plan, you just fly slowly across an open lane.
  • Suspension helps on retakes and post-plants. Players lifted into the air can't hold their angles properly. Detonate it over a stacked site or the defuse, and peek with a teammate at the same time.

Who should try her?

If you already play Raze or Neon and are comfortable leading site hits, Hush is a natural next pick. If you mostly play Jett or Reyna as solo-pick duelists, expect an adjustment period. Hush relies far more on a teammate trading the opponents she pulls or lifts.

Hush and Performance Score

Hush is the first new Agent since Performance Score launched. Riot warns her score may be inconsistent for the first few days while they tune how good utility use is measured. Don't read too much into a low score from your first Hush games. (Our Performance Score explainer covers how the system works.)

Warden Buff

The Warden's opening shots are more accurate:

The Warden

ChangeBeforeAfter
2nd bullet error0.250.2
3rd bullet error0.60.5
Pitch recoil (first few bullets)—Smoother

The Warden's first three bullets are now more forgiving, so short bursts are more reliable on light buys and force rounds.

Clove Nerf

  • Pick-me-up movement speed bonus: 15% → 10%
  • Killing Clove after Not Dead Yet now gives the killer an ultimate point and a signature refresh point

Clove's aggressive "die, revive, keep pushing" pattern now costs more. Trading out a revived Clove used to just delay the round. Now it rewards the team that wins the trade.

Haste, Snapshot and New Tooltips

Riot has rewritten ability descriptions and introduced clearer buff terms:

  • Haste — a movement speed buff. It now appears on Brimstone's Stim Beacon, Clove's Pick-me-up, Miks's Harmonize and Neon's High Gear and Overdrive. Waylay's Convergent Paths buff has been renamed to Haste.
  • Snapshot — the silhouette reveal from Cypher's Neural Theft and Spycam.
  • Combat Stim is separate. It affects fire rate, equip, reload and recovery speed.
  • More Agents now have passive descriptions (for example Neon's Battery). Tooltips also show the Agent, their role and their keybinds.

Competitive Changes

  • Trades now show hover text on the PC scoreboard
  • A new "learn more" screen explains Performance Score
  • Map Rating: your Act Best Match carries more weight
  • First Blood accolade is harder to earn (historic counts are unaffected)

The trade hover text is a small change that makes a big difference. You can now see on the scoreboard whether your deaths were traded. That is one of the clearest signs of whether you and your team are playing close enough together.

Learn Hush Faster With UpForge

Every new Agent goes through a learning curve where the same mistakes keep repeating: Displacement thrown into an empty site, Flashbulb blinding your own entry, Flow triggered with no exit. Most players never spot the pattern because they don't rewatch their games.

UpForge turns your match into a coaching report. It covers when you died, whether you were traded, and what to practise before your next game:

  1. Record or upload a Hush match (see how Valorant review works)
  2. Get a report with round timestamps and specific focus points
  3. Practise one thing next match, then compare

The Bottom Line

Patch 13.09 is Hush's patch. A Duelist who pulls, concusses and lifts enemies will change how sites are hit and retaken. The Warden is now a better option on light buys, and Clove's aggressive revives are riskier. Play a few unrated games on Hush before taking her into ranked, and review at least one game before you decide whether she suits you.
