What does an AI gaming coach do?
An AI gaming coach reviews evidence from your play and suggests what to work on. A scoreboard can tell you how many times you died; a coaching report should help you investigate the decisions around those deaths and give you something specific to practise.
UpForge focuses on review after a match. It is not a promise of live tactical callouts or a guaranteed rank increase. Its feedback is most useful when you check the referenced moment, decide whether the explanation fits and test one change in another match.
Choose the right evidence for your game
For Valorant, the desktop workflow combines your recording with Riot match context. Review can connect visible decisions to the match rather than relying on a screenshot of the final score.
For CS2 and Deadlock, rich replay data matters. A recording or linked account alone is not enough to establish every event. Complete the game-specific demo setup and confirm the required match data is ready before requesting analysis.
Use the game links below for current requirements. League of Legends has a separate coaching path; do not assume its setup is the same as the Windows recording workflow for the other games.
From a report to a useful practice session
Begin with one ordinary match rather than a highlights montage. Inspect a priority in the report, replay the relevant moment and ask whether the suggested action was possible with the information you had.
Choose one behaviour to test, such as waiting for a teammate before taking a duel. In the next review, look for that behaviour in comparable situations. A win or a better K/D on its own does not establish that the habit improved.
- Check the evidence before accepting a coaching claim.
- Choose one action you can recognise during a match.
- Review another match before changing your whole practice routine.
What to check before choosing a coaching tool
Look for a sample report, supported games, recording requirements and a clear explanation of what is included. A general chat answer can be useful for a rules question, but it does not show what happened in your own match.
Every UpForge account includes one free coaching analysis. Ongoing analysis allowances are listed on the pricing page. Human coach sessions are booked separately, so compare the two costs based on the help you actually need.
For desktop recording, use a Windows PC and complete the OBS recording test and game capture check first. Processing begins after the required inputs are available; full-match reports commonly take 10 to 30 minutes, with longer waits possible.
Where a human coach still helps
AI can miss context, misread footage or suggest a fix that does not fit your intention. A human session lets you explain the decision, ask follow-up questions and work through alternatives together.
If the same issue keeps appearing and you cannot apply the advice, bring a small set of those moments to a coach. You can also begin with human coaching if discussion is how you learn best.

Common questions
Is an AI gaming coach free?
UpForge includes one free coaching analysis per account. Paid plans provide ongoing analysis allowances. Check the pricing page for current limits; human coaching sessions are separate bookings.
Does UpForge coach me live during a match?
This workflow provides post-match analysis. It is designed to help you review and practise between games, rather than supply live tactical instructions.
Can I use one recording workflow for every game?
No. Start with the setup for your game. Valorant uses recording and Riot context; CS2 and Deadlock analysis requires the relevant rich demo data. League of Legends has its own coaching path.
Will AI coaching guarantee a higher rank?
No. A report provides feedback to evaluate and practise. Improvement depends on the quality of the evidence, your practice and other factors; a rank increase is not guaranteed.
