Deadlock Soul Leads: Convert Farm Into Map Pressure

A soul lead does not win by itself. Spend it, move with a purpose, and force an objective or favourable fight before the opponent catches up.

Why this matters

Farm creates a temporary power advantage. If you keep farming the same safe route after completing a meaningful item, the map never feels the lead.

Three decisions to clean up

Confirm the power spike

Check what the lead actually bought. An item completion can justify pressure; a pile of unspent souls cannot.

Move toward a concrete gain

Choose structure damage, an objective, enemy farm, or a numbers advantage. Roaming without a target gives the opponent time to equalise.

Protect the return

A lead shrinks quickly after an unnecessary death. Keep an exit route and track which enemies are missing before extending the play.

Use it in your next session

    • Mark the first moment you lead your lane in souls.
    • Find the next item completion.
    • Review whether your following minute changed the map.

Review the pattern

Count leads converted into structures, objectives, or safe enemy-side farm. Kills are useful only when they create one of those durable gains.

Do not judge the habit by one match result. Look for cleaner decisions across several repeated situations, then make the cue slightly more demanding once it becomes automatic.
