Every skirmish is a bet on whether winning the fight accelerates your item timings faster than the enemy recovers.
When to fight
- You have level advantage or power spike
- Enemy overextended without backup
- Objective timer forces their hand (urn, walker)
When to farm
- Lost trade badly and need safe souls to reach next item
- Enemy jungler missing — punish waves, not ego fights
- Lane matchup is unwinnable until one item completes
Track it
