Haze Guide — Deadlock 2026
Haze is the late-game carry in Deadlock. Weak in lane and vulnerable early, she transforms into one of the highest damage-per-second heroes in the game once she has three or four items. If you enjoy farming through a slow early game to dominate in 20+ minute fights, Haze is your hero.

Haze Overview
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Role | Carry / Hyper Carry |
| Tier | A |
| Primary Scaling | Weapon + Spirit (hybrid) |
| Difficulty | High |
| Best For | Late Game, Teamfight Damage, 1v1 Duelling |
Haze requires discipline early. She is one of the most punishable heroes in the laning phase — die twice in lane and your power spike is delayed by 5+ minutes. But a Haze who survives to her items is terrifying. Bullet Dance in a teamfight with max Fixation stacks can wipe an entire enemy team in seconds.

Abilities Explained
Sleep Dagger (1)
Haze throws a dagger that puts the first enemy it hits into a brief sleep. Sleeping enemies are completely stunned. Any damage wakes them up immediately.
Tip: Sleep Dagger is your combo setup tool. The correct use is: Sleep Dagger into switch to a teammate so they deal damage into the sleeping target wakes up with bonus damage applied. Do NOT hit the sleeping target yourself — wake them up with teammate damage for an amplified burst.
Fixation (Passive)
Each consecutive hit on the same target builds Fixation stacks. At max stacks, Haze deals significantly more damage. Fixation resets if you switch targets.
Tip: Fixation rewards focusing one target. In teamfights, pick one target and burn them down before switching. Switching targets resets your stacks and loses you a massive damage bonus.
Smoke Bomb (3)
Haze drops a smoke bomb at her location, becoming invisible for a few seconds. While invisible, Haze moves faster and her next basic attack deals bonus damage.
Tip: Smoke Bomb is your escape tool and a positioning reset. Use it when you have overextended, when you need to reposition in a teamfight, or to close the distance on a fleeing target. The bonus first-hit damage also makes it a strong engage tool.
Bullet Dance (Ultimate)
Haze spins rapidly, firing in all directions while moving slowly. Bullet Dance deals massive weapon damage to all nearby enemies for its duration. With max Fixation stacks active, Bullet Dance is among the highest DPS abilities in the game.
Tip: Do not use it the moment a fight starts — build Fixation stacks on one target first, then activate Bullet Dance when multiple enemies are nearby.

Best Item Build for Haze
Early Game (Survival Focus)
- Extra Regen — Stay healthy in lane without returning to base
- Sprint Boots — Movement speed for dodging skillshots and escaping ganks
- Extra Stamina — Dashes for dodging
- Ammo Scavenger — More ammo means more Fixation stacking potential
Mid Game (Power Spike)
- Active Reload — Damage boost; this triggers before Bullet Dance for maximum burst
- Headhunter — Headshot bonus damage dramatically increases Fixation stack damage
- Monster Rounds — Farm jungle camps efficiently; Haze needs souls
- Swift Striker — Attack speed means faster Fixation stack building
Late Game (Carry Items)
- Titanic Magazine — Massive clip size means you never reload during Bullet Dance
- Ricochet — Bullets bounce to additional targets during Bullet Dance; teamfight cleave
- Sharpshooter — Headshot damage multiplier; Haze headshots with full Fixation are enormous
- Shadow Weave — Chain Smoke Bomb after kills to reset position and continue the carry

How to Play Haze
Laning Phase
Haze lane is a survival test. Your goal is to:
- Farm every last hit without dying
- Use Smoke Bomb defensively the moment a gank appears
- Harass with Sleep Dagger when the enemy steps up to last hit
- Avoid extended trades at levels 1-5
You are farming for your Mid Game power items. A 0/0/0 Haze at 10 minutes who has full farm is better positioned than a 2/2/0 Haze who died twice and missed farm.
Mid Game
At 2-3 items, Haze becomes a real threat. The Sleep Dagger combo now kills squishies:
- Sleep Dagger a target
- Ask a teammate to follow up
- When they wake up from teammate damage, you have Fixation stacks and bonus damage on them
- Burn them down before they react
In skirmishes, always target the most isolated enemy. Haze 1v1 with Fixation is oppressive.
Late Game
Late-game Haze in teamfights has one job: get max Fixation on one target, then activate Bullet Dance.
The sequence is:
- Smoke Bomb in from a flank angle
- Hit one target with basic attacks to build Fixation
- Sleep Dagger someone trying to peel
- Activate Bullet Dance at max Fixation stacks
- Smoke Bomb if you get low during Bullet Dance
---
Understanding Fixation
Fixation is Haze most important mechanic:
- Fixation stacks build by hitting the same target. Each hit adds a stack
- Max stacks = huge damage bonus. The difference between 0 stacks and max stacks is enormous
- Switching targets resets stacks to zero. Pick one target and kill them
- Fixation does NOT reset between Smoke Bomb uses. Your stacks stay active during Smoke Bomb
- Bullet Dance with max Fixation shreds. The combination is the highest DPS in the game

Common Mistakes
Fighting too early. Haze without items is food. Farm through your weakness.
Activating Bullet Dance on one target. Bullet Dance is a teamfight ultimate. Using it in a 1v1 is usually worse than just basic attacking with Fixation stacks.
Not coordinating Sleep Dagger. Solo Sleep Dagger into your own follow-up wastes the combo. Wake sleeping targets with teammate damage for the bonus.
Dying in lane. Every death delays your power spike significantly. If unsure whether a fight is winnable, Smoke Bomb out.

Haze Tips & Tricks
- Sleep Dagger can pass through walls — throw it at the angle you expect an enemy to come around a corner
- Smoke Bomb can be used mid-Bullet Dance to reposition without cancelling the ultimate
- Fixation stacks persist through a Smoke Bomb vanish — disappear, reposition, and re-emerge with stacks
- Ricochet causes Bullet Dance to hit an enormous number of targets when bounces chain in a group
- Bullet Dance can be activated while jumping — initiating from above makes it harder for enemies to escape
